Me 1st Then Sports™ Presents
COACH APPRECIATION™
What Did This Coach Give You That Stayed?
There is a coach who may not know what they meant to you.
Maybe they coached you last season.
Maybe they coached you forty years ago.
Tell them now.
A CAREGD™ Sports Initiative
Help every coach hear “thank you” while they’re still coaching.
What Do You Want Your Coach to Know?
Say thank you.
Tell a story.
Share what stayed with you.
Tell them what you never got around to saying.
- What did they give you that stayed?
- What did they see in you?
- What moment do you still remember?
- Written message
- Video
- Voice note
- Photo + memory
Private unless you choose to share.
How It Works
Step 1
Tell Us About Your Coach.
A name is enough to start. Anything else you remember helps.
Step 2
Say What You Want to Say.
Write it, record it, speak it, or send a photo and a memory.
Step 3
We’ll Help Get It to Them.
We review every message and deliver it privately.
Your message can remain private. Nothing is shared publicly without permission.
Any Coach. Any Chapter.

Recognize Yours

Why This Exists
The People Behind Performance Should Be Seen, Too.
Lisa C. Williams is the Founder & CEO of CAREGD™ and founder of America Checks In™, a national movement built around the human practice of checking in—with ourselves and with one another.
A former Division I basketball athlete, Lisa understands sports from inside the experience. Before earning a basketball scholarship to UC Berkeley, she played at John F. Kennedy High School in Los Angeles and was a member of Kennedy’s 1982 City Championship team.
CAREGD™ grew from a simple belief:
People should not have to fall apart before someone notices.
Through America Checks In™, CAREGD is helping restore the human practice of noticing, asking and staying connected.
Coach Appreciation™ brings that practice into sports—beginning with recognition.
Sometimes checking in starts by simply telling someone:
You mattered to me.
The Me 1st Then Sports™ Ecosystem
Me 1st Then Sports™ also offers Coach, Are You Good?™, a separate campaign focused on checking in on the person doing the coaching.
